I subscribe to the enewsletter, but perhaps I need to splurge on the print journal. Or is it a necessity?
ReplyDeleteThe key is understanding a quality journal is about the variety of experiences, not a conventional dependability on results. (It took me ages to realize this.)
ReplyDeleteBecause it's a quarterly, it's arrival is more like a gift than an expectation. Like many gifts, some amaze you while others are merely nice.
Because of its mix of poetry, fiction, interviews, art criticism (w/the art being discussed) and essays with strong editorials by founding editor Gregory Wolfe you're bound to be blessed by every issue, just some blessings are more memorable than others.
